President Filip Vujanović

President of the Republic of Montenegro is elected for a five-year term in direct elections. Tasks of the President are:
represent Montenegro at home and abroad,
approve laws,
announce elections to Skupštiny,
Parliament to the proposal to appoint the Prime Minister and President and Judge at the Constitutional Court,
announce a referendum on a proposal from Parliament,
grant pardon to persons facing criminal prosecution,
award state decorations,
to carry out the duties imposed by the Constitution.
President is a member of the Supreme Defense Council.
